Professional Background in Brief

After studying economics and spending several periods abroad, I began my professional career with a trainee program at a globally leading US soft drink manufacturer. This was followed by several years in product management for a renowned brand alliance in the food industry. Early on, I discovered my passion for exploring new business fields and building strategic partnerships – tasks that perfectly matched my strengths and led me into business development. Initially, this took me to the pharmaceutical and design goods sectors for several years. From 2008 to the end of 2024, I was — for nearly 17 years — responsible for business development in the field of architecture and real estate at Grohe, a globally leading brand for holistic bathroom solutions, now owned by the Japanese Lixil Group.

I started at Grohe by building a network of architects, interior designers, and later real estate companies in Germany, influencing their recommendations in favor of the brand – a goal I successfully achieved. Over the years, my responsibilities expanded from the DACH region to Central and Western Europe, eventually encompassing global responsibilities.

With over 25 years of experience in business development, I have played a key role in formulating and implementing growth strategies in leadership positions – always with a different, innovative, and sustainably successful approach.


My Strengths

New customer acquisition and customer retention require a clear, strategic approach. The key to success lies in being present where decisions are made and turning contacts into long-term relationships and contracts. This is where my strengths come into play. I excel in developing and implementing innovative customer strategies with high creativity. Empathy, authenticity, assertiveness, the ability to inspire and motivate, and engaging with executives as equals are traits that describe me well – and that have repeatedly opened „doors“ to the most important business partners.


My Vision

In January 2025, I founded SABINE GOTTHARDT Business Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in new customer acquisition and customer loyalty in the B2B sector. My goal is to drive growth for my clients – always different, innovative, and sustainably successful.
